The Matlab machine architecture is the name used by Matlab to distinguish different machines.

Check for Matlab machine architecture. Set output variable MATLAB_ARCH to the Matlab machine architecture, for example, sol2 for Sun Solaris. The user can specify an alternative machine architecture by setting MATLAB_ARCH in the environment.
