Aeons End gingen im September 1993 aus der deutschen Death Metal Band CEMETERY  hervor, nachdem diese ihren Plattenvertrag mit West Virginia Records aufgrund der in diesem Jahr vorherrschenden Death Metal-Krise verloren hatte.
Trotz eines 1993 aufgenommenen kompletten Albums gelang es der Band nicht mehr, in der abbröckelnden Death Metal Szene Fuß zu fassen, so daß man sich gegen Ende desselben Jahres entschloß, verstärkt um Fronterin Gaby Weihmayer, den Stil zu wechseln und auf extremen Progressive Metal im Stil von WATCHTOWER oder CONFESSOR umzusatteln.

Im Frühjahr 1994 enterte man das A.M.P. Studio in Beuren bei Nürtingen, um - damals noch eine Seltenheit - auf eigene Faust das Album "Spiral Seas" zu produzieren.
"Spiral Seas", produziert vom späteren PYOGENESIS Bassisten Roman Schoensee kam seinerzeit auf eine Gesamtspieldauer von 29:21 Minuten und hatte einen, für die damaligen Verhältnisse und für eine Eigenproduktion, hervorragenden Sound, konnte aber aufgrund des sehr komplex wirkenden Songmaterials Kritiker und Fans nicht in allen Punkten überzeugen.
Im Sommer 1994 wurde Bassist und Cemetery-Gründungsmitglied Bobby Mayer aus musikalischen Gründen von Robin Fischer, dem späteren Red To Grey-Bassisten ersetzt. Die Band spielte im Winter 1994/95 einige wenige Live-Konzerte, die einzigen in ihrer Laufbahn, bevor die Band abermals einen Stilwechsel beschloß und Gitarrist Roland Weihmayer durch Keyboarderin Monika Hebel ersetzt wurde.

In dieser neuen Besetzung entstand dann über Ostern 1996 unter der Regie von Ecki Erlenbusch im Nightmare Studio im würtembergischen Fautspach das Demo "The Five Chapters Of  The Spiral Seas". Ausgestattet mit einem weit besseren Sound als das Debut und wieder etwa eine knappe halbe Stunde lang, hätte dieser Output der Band sicherlich weit mehr Lorbeeren eingebracht als seinerzeit "Spiral Seas", wenn ..., ja wenn sich die Band nicht gegen Ende 1996 aufgelöst hätte.

Robin Fischer und Elmar Nüßlein spielten später gemeinsam bei der Power-Thrash Formation RED TO GREY, Daniel Zizek, hat seine Leidenschaft für den Blues entdeckt und greift bei der TRIPLE-T-BLUES-MACHINE nunmehr softer in die Saiten, während Sängerin Gaby Weihmayer für die Cover Band GENERATION-X tätig ist.

Aeons End was founded in September 1993 by the members of the German death metal band CEMETERY after the loss of their record deal with West Virginia Records during the death metal crisis in 1993. Despite having recorded a full length album in 1993 they didn't manage to be succesfull again in the weakening death metal scene. At the end of the year they decided to convince female vocalist Gaby Weihmayer to join the band. They turned their style to extreme Progressive Metal like WATCHTOWER or CONFESSOR.

In spring 1994 the band entered the A.M.P. Studio in Beuren near the German City Nürtingen to produce their album "Spiral Seas".
"Spiral Seas" was produced by Roman Schoensee, later the bassman of PYOGENESIS and had a total playing time of 29:21 minutes, the sound was as good as possible for a 1993 low budget production. The Songs were very complex, so "Spiral Seas" couldn't convince all  critics and fans.

In summer 1994 bassplayer and Cemetery-founding member Bobby Mayer was replaced by Robin Fischer. The band played a few gigs in winter 1994/95 before changing their style again and replacing guitarist Roland Weihmayer through female keyboarder Monika Hebel.

With this new line up the demo "The Five Chapters Of The Spiral Seas" was recorded at Nightmare Studio in Fautspach / Baden Würtemberg by Ecki Erlenbusch. The bands second output had a much better sound than the first one, the playing time was once more round about half an hour and it could have been much more succesfull than the Spiral Seas-CD if the band hadn't split up in the meantime.

Robin Fischer und Elmar Nüsslein are now part of the power-thrashers RED TO GREY, Daniel Zizek got the blues and hits the strings of his guitar more softly at the TRIPLE-T-BLUES-MACHINE while Gaby Weihmayer is a singer of the coverband GENERATION-X .
